2007 New England NARI Contractor of the Year Award  Best Kitchen Design Under $50,000

A rising star in the world of kitchen and bath design, Divine Kitchens’ owner Mariette Barsoum, CKD was distinguished with a 2007 National Association of Remodeling Industries (NARI) Contractor of the Year (COTY) Award in Boston. Divine received first place for Kitchen Design Under $50K for a Shrewsbury, MA project that transformed a predictable U-shaped builder’s kitchen and “eat-in area” without changing the footprint of the space. Barsoum removed dated oak cabinets and replaced with dark wood cabinets that gave the space a more formal feeling immediately. She was able to create a spacious island that more graciously delineated the dining area. The addition of matching built-ins in the dining space also gave the room a more upscale ambience. Accomplishing this dramatic transformation for under $50,000 earned Divine this prestigious COTY award.
